چکیده

A binary sequence satisfies a one-dimensional (d; k) run length constraint if every run of zeros has length at least d and at most k. A two-dimensional binary pattern is (d1; k1; d2; k2)-constrained if it satisfies the one-dimensional (d1; k1) run length constraint horizontally and the one-dimensional (d2; k2) run length constraint vertically. For given d1; k1; d2, and k2, the asymmetric two-dimensional capacity is defined as Cd1;k1;d2;k2 = limm;n!1 (1=(mn)) log2N (d1;k1;d2;k2) m;n where N (d1;k1;d2;k2) m;n denotes the number of (d1; k1; d2; k2)-constrained m n binary patterns. We determine whether the capacity is positive or is zero, for many choices of (d1; k1; d2; k2). Influence of Induced Magnetic Field and Partial Slip on the Peristaltic Flow of a Couple Stress Fluid in an Asymmetric Channel

This paper describes the effects of induced magnetic field and partial slip on the peristaltic flow of a couple stress fluids in an asymmetric channel. The two dimensional equation of couple stress fluid are simplified by making the assumptions of long wave length and low Reynolds number. The exact solutions of reduced momentum equation and magnetic force function have been computed in wave...

On the capacity of two-dimensional run-length constrained channels

Two-dimensional binary patterns that satisfy onedimensional (d; k) run-length constraints both horizontally and vertically are considered. For a given d and k, the capacity Cd; k is defined as Cd; k = limm;n!1 log2N (d; k) m;n =mn, where N (d; k) m;n denotes the number of m n rectangular patterns that satisfy the two-dimensional (d; k) run-length constraint. Bounds on Cd; k are given and it is ...

Investigating the Asymmetric Relationship between Financial Instability, Monetary Policy and Economic Growth in Iran

This study investigated the asymmetric effects of financial instability shocks on economic growth and monetary policy shocks on financial instability in Iran. For this purpose, data 1991:3 to 2017:1 and nonlinear auto-regressive distributed lag (NARDL) approach has been used. For this purpose, three models have been estimated. In the first model, the asymmetric effects of fiscal instability shoc...

Nonlinear Asymmetric Effects of Devaluation on Trade Balance: A Case Study of Iran and South Korea

The present paper analyzes the existence of a long-run relationship between the trade balance and exchange rate of Iran and South Korea by a new approach. It proposes an asymmetric co-integrating NARDL model by two positive and negative partial sum decompositions which can use mixed I (0) and I (1) variables by bounds testing approach. The proposed tests are based on calculated F –statistics an...

Bounds on the capacity of constrained two-dimensional codes

Bounds on the capacity of constrained two-dimensional (2-D) codes are presented. The bounds of Calkin and Wilf apply to first-order symmetric constraints. The bounds are generalized in a weaker form to higher order and nonsymmetric constraints. Results are given for constraints specified by run-length limits or a minimum distance between pixels of a given value.
